This Blackmagic camera is the very outstanding miniature camera with 16mm sensors. You can control it remotely and capture the images virtually.  The image sensor can support video with 1080p quality with 60fps and 13 stops of dynamic range.  This camera is also equipped with MFT mount which can accept MFT lens. You can also use the wide range of other vintage and modern lenses using third-party adopters.  The recorded video will be stored over  SDHC or SDXC memory card  using 10 bit  Apple ProRes family codes or 12-bit CinemaDNG format.

This micro camera is similar in shape and size of an action camera. It is easy to mount over a helmet for POV shots or you can also suspend it with quadcopter to get aerial shots.  Its compact size allows you to place any place where a big camera can't fit.  To facilitate the user the remote control is provided, to control the camera when it is placed in impossible to reach locations. You can easily watch and operate live video feed through camera extension port.  The breakout cable that is included with this camera is for radio remote control inputs. In order to get access more control, you can use 18 channel S bus input. You can use it with Futaba radio control equipment or controllers.

Radio control support breakout cable also provides LANC control, genloc and power. It also provides the video output for wireless video transmitters that will allow you to see what are you recording. It also has HDMI output as well. At the time of remote recording, you can use Canon LP-E6 battery at the back of the camera for power. This battery will provide battery up to 1.5 hours. This camera also has 12 Volt input thus you can provide power to the camera from external sources when you want to continue shooting for a long time.

This compact design of the Blackmagic micro camera is combined with advanced miniaturization and expansions port. These allow you to create personalized rigs for remote operations.  The base of the camera is made up of light magnesium alloy, due to which it is quite durable to shoot high-quality POV shots, action shots or aerial shots through quadcopter. One can easily control the micro camera through front buttons when it is out of reach.

The 16mm sized sensor can deliver 1080p quality video up to 60 fps provides film like look with the 13 stops of dynamic range.  13 stops means that you can retain full sensor data for DaVinci color grading.  It also provides you the two dynamic range settings  VideoREC709 or Film log. You are allowed to choose the best dynamic range according to your requirement. 

 Active Micro Four Third Lens Mount

The camera features of Micro Cinema is an active micro four third lens which lets to take the advantage of its wide range of native prime and zoom MFT lenses available. We can use the expansion port of camera to control the zoom, focus, and iris of active MFT lenses. We can also control the iris from the forward or rewind button on a camera. They also have built-in optical image stabilization. This feature makes it suitable to use in places where there have a lot of movement, vibration or shocks. You can also use third party optical adapters if you don’t need electronic control.

 Raw and ProRes Recording:

ProReas or cinemaDNG Raw have memory cards which can camera records to SSXC/SDHC.We can change the white balance of the camera and also can have long exposure after the camera stops working due to the help of Cinema DNG RAW as these files are –bit long and gives more data from the camera sensor. But if you need longer recording times and smaller file sizes, you can use codecs ProReas of 10-bit. In Mac and Windows, you can easily change or edited with free DaVinci Resolve Lite Software.

Remote Monitoring:

With the help of remote monitoring, you can easily see what the camera is capturing at the moment whether it is hidden or in the air. Its expansion port includes PAL and NTSC can composite the video output which allows it to connect with the lower cost video transmitters for remote monitoring. We can also get higher quality monitoring if we use HDMI output for the wireless SD video transmitters in Mic Cinema Camera and we can also get a direct wire connection. These both create overlays for camera status; file formats, audio, battery life, lens settings and more.

Audio:

It has a built-in type stereo microphone known as omnidirectional. The basic feature of its mechanical designs is to reduce the noise of wind to get a clear recording. It also has a built-in 3.5mm input connector which allows you to plug in an external microphone. This jack can support both line level devices and mic. When the external mic is connected its internal mic is automatically disconnected.

Expansion Port and Remote Control:

The expansion port DB-HD15 is allowing us to create custom monitoring solutions, external power, and remote control. You can access many unique features of the camera by the breakout cable included in it. Addition to power, unlock, video output and LANC, we can also get four radio remote control analog PMW inputs. It helps to create a map of camera functions like knobs, buttons, and joysticks. We can also use 18-channel S.Bus control input for even more access to control.

Canon LP-E6 Battery Compatible:

By attaching any available LP-E6 battery to the back of your camera for remote recording, you can power it for almost 1.5 hours. You can also check the battery level even when the camera is connected remotely in an overlay. They also include a little LED indicator on the battery to show the low battery condition. To keep your camera working for longer hours you can use breakout cable which has a 15V DC input jack.

Camera Settings Adjustment:

You can easily adjust your setting of a camera by the buttons shown on the front side of the camera. As they are located in front so they are easily accessible, as because sometimes camera is strapped to your body. By using composite video output the output of the camera is shown on the external monitor. In front, you can get the power button, Stop button, forward button, rewind buttons. You can also see the LED indicator on the top which shows you the condition of battery and recording status.
